7 years of Whiskas @ Fuchs2

My artist name is Kamafaka, im djing since almost 2 years now. Since then I played in the big clubs of Budapest and recently I had my first gigs abroad in Tbilisi, Valence, Berlin. In the meantime im modelling and recently I've started a music school. There are two sides of it. As a women you might get attention beforewards as a male artist do. The whole scene is more and more about appearance or lets say the whole world haha. But of course there are plenty of exceptions. The other side of it, as a female artists I experienced that in some situations they dont take me that seriously as they do with a man. Sometimes I feel like I have to show that I'm serious in what I'm doing and I'm smart enough, therefore I might have to 'fight' more than men. I dont like that in the scene it started to be more about businnes and money. I think its important to try to stay free in mind from material world, techno and having fun shouldn't be about that. That's what I love in our NoFear parties, people aren't coming for the huge names, they are there for the vibe and for the quality music!
Im Akác a budapest based dj and proud member of Nofear. I am super grateful that i had a chance to work with my team bc i feel that as a women we understand each other very much in every way. Thankfully i have no bad experience but sometimes i feel that people still think that women achieve something because of their looks. I also think that there are more and more female techno djs which will be make an impact in the scene

I have a vintage shop in Budapest: @antifactoryvintage This is my job in the traditional sense. I am also dj,producer and promoter - party organizer as the founder of NoFear. I started to get interested in djing/mixing around 5 years ago. That time there were just a really few female artists and i experienced a lot of negative impression. Basically that noone took me seriously. I was also very careful about not to dress up very sexy, otherwise people were often be like she is only there because she is a girl and hot etc. Luckily recently this changed a lot and -also i became more confident- but i see female artists are becoming just as respected as males. about the scene, it could be nice to see less jealousy and the lack of morals. Also if the mainstream 'business techno' would just go back to its place and leave underground alone.
